Home Organizing:
When you got together with the family over the holidays did you notice changes in Grandma that left you feeling a bit unsettled? Changes that perhaps other family members who see Grandma more frequently haven’t noticed? It may be time to consider whether or not it is safe for Grandma to continue to live independently. Did you notice any of these changes?
Clear walkways inside and outside the house and bag up all papers and newspapers on the floor. If Grandma is living alone, I can help her age in place safely by decluttering. If you are worried that it is no longer safe for Grandma to continue living independently, I can help you prepare her home for sale. If you’re worried about your Grandma let’s have a conversation. Call me today: 215-300-5543 or schedule a consultation. I will clear hallways to help prevent Grandma from falling. I will declutter Grandma’s kitchen to make it easier for her to function and to make sure everything is within easy reach, and remove piles of papers near the stove top to prevent fires. If you see an accumulation of mail on countertops or tables Grandma is struggling to keep up. I will help her sort through the mail and set aside recent bills and important documents to be filed and I will recycle all junk mail and old catalogues. I can also put your family in touch with a Daily Money Manager who can assist Grandma in keeping up with paying her bills and processing her papers. If Grandma’s house is in disrepair or if she is not keeping up with routine maintenance, I can schedule appointments for repairmen and contractors. While they are in the home I will continue to declutter and organize.
