Home Organizing:
DO-OVERS AND HABITS: My birthday is Ground Hog’s Eve. That means that in February I get a do-over for whatever New Year’s Resolutions I haven’t followed through with. If you have not followed through with your resolutions, don’t give up! It’s not too late to recommit to making changes in your life NOW. It’s only mid-January. When you make a resolution, you set an intention to make a change in your life. When intentions become habits, changes happen. In mid-December set an intention of not trying to squeeze in one more task before leaving the house. I decided I couldn’t wait until January to make this important change. It isn’t a resolution anymore; it’s a new habit. I allow myself more time to get places and more time to finish projects. The benefit of making this change is that I don’t feel stressed that I will forget something important and I don’t get anxious about getting places on time and meeting deadlines. When you can see the benefit of making a change you become inspired to make that change happen. Habits create situations. Good habits create positive energy that flows. Bad habits create problems like clutter and disorganization; a stagnation of energy, productivity and efficiency. What habits do you have that are contributing to your clutter problem? I can help you see what these habits are and create new habits to keep the clutter from re-accumulating and stressing you out again. What will you have when we’re done? I guarantee you will feel less stressed and you will have more time and more control over your life. Does that sound good to you?
