It’s August and the weather is inconsistent. Some days it feels like fall is in the air. Other days the mornings are chilly, but the afternoons are ninety degrees. But what is consistent is that everyone is trying to squeeze a little more fun into the last few weeks of August. Are you inconsistent about how you feel about your clutter?
Before AfterDenise's OfficeIn two hours, I cleared her desktop and floor. I categorized and organized her reference manuals. I also containerized her office supplies and tidied up the papers she needs to access frequently. In two hours, I decluttered and organized her children’s school supplies. I also organized the coat closet where she stores her marketing supplies and out of season bedding. Before AfterKathleen's Coat ClosetIn two hours, I removed the coat rack and repositioned the black bookcase to create room in the closet for her kid’s backpacks and shoes. This eliminated the “dumping zone” in the front hallway.
In the next two hours I removed the notebooks and supplies from the closet. I decluttered an area of the dining room so she could consolidate her backup school supplies. Decluttering the coat closet had an unexpected ripple effect. It helped tidy up both the living room and the dining room. Kathleen was thrilled.
