Home Organizing:

A Challenging Move

Decluttering, organizing and unpacking are a lot like playing chess. The space is the chess board and you need to strategize to reach your desired goal. You need to determine how the pieces on the “chess board” can be manipulated to create a space that best serves your needs.

Unpacking can be very exciting and fun when you move into your new home if the move is organized and items are packed in a logical way. But sometimes circumstances don’t permit an organized move. Sometimes a move happens after catastrophic damage to a home; fire or flood.

Unfortunately, most people experience some kind of crisis in their personal or professional lives. When the crisis is over, they are typically faced with all of the lesser priorities that still need to be addressed.
If you are regrouping after a challenging time in your life, call me. Putting your environment back in order is a great step toward feeling more in control of your life. I can help you strategize and implement, re-establishing order in your home or home office.

How I Helped Nancy Regroup After a Devastating House Fire

Problem: Nancy and Warren’s house was devastated by a house fire. What was salvageable was thrown into boxes helter skelter. She knew there was no way she could organize her school supplies and personal art supplies before the beginning of the school year.
Solution: We categorized the various supplies and also set up her home office area, books, and toys for visiting grandchildren.
Result: Nancy is prepared in plenty of time for the beginning of the school year, she can process her bills and file important papers easily and she knows where her various craft and sewing supplies are.
Testimonial: “My mind is more at peace and I feel settled in my new home. I have open space now that I choose not to clutter up. My thought process is entirely different when I go shopping. I ask myself . . .  Do I need it? Will I use it? Do I need it now? I am looking forward to working with Bobbie on another project in a few weeks.”
